Comprehensive Mapping Service

The Comprehensive mapping service has been developed with user selectable themes.  Themes organize and display map layers into groups of related data.  Users can change the current theme by selecting from one of the theme name tabs located at the top of the map window.  Once a theme is selected the application will turn on the relevant map layers.  Once displayed users have full control over the display of all available map layers through the application's mapping layer control panel.  

Map Themes 

Base Map (Default Theme)	Default mapping theme displaying community boundaries, roads and tax parcels.
FEMA Flood Hazard Theme	Provides access to FEMA's updated Digital Flood Rate Insurance Map (DFIRM) Index and mapsheets.  Information provided here includes all revised available mapsheets that became effective on September 29, 2006. Mapsheets can be downloaded in Adobe .PDF format.  DFIRM mapsheets are selectable using the Information browser tool found on the left side of the map service.
Economic Development Theme	Provides information detailed information on the following: industrial parks, industrial parcels, industrial building footprints, DDA TIFA & LDFA boundaries, DDA TIFA & LDFA parcels, DDA TIFA & LDFA building footprints, airports, railroads, tax parcels, roads.
School Safety Zones Theme	Provides ability to locate properties by property address or Tax ID # and view their location in reference to 1000' School Safety Zones established for educational facilities within Macomb County
Mapping Functions
Parcel Notification Function	Provides local units of government the ability to locate properties by Tax ID# or site address and generate a list of properties with a selected distance.  Results can be printed or exported to a comma delimited text file viewable in Microsoft Excel.
